Todays story

On Friday, I planned to return to my hometown because I missed my parents and my mother's cooking. So, my roommate and I started our journey in the morning. Since I had only one class on Friday and the next day was a day off, it was convenient for me to go home.

However, halfway through our journey, it started raining heavily. We decided to take shelter and stopped at a nearby Alfamart until the rain subsided. After a while, the rain stopped, but the sky remained cloudy. Despite the weather, we decided to continue our journey home.

After a short while, we were caught in another downpour, forcing us to stop again for shelter. Once the second rain stopped, we resumed our journey.

The weather cleared up, and there were no signs of rain. During the trip, my friend and I didn't talk much because I believed that staying focused on driving was crucial. The road we traveled was in poor condition, with numerous potholes, both small and large. In some parts, road repairs were underway, causing us to experience brief traffic jams and dusty conditions due to the dry soil.

After half of the journey, we decided to stop briefly due to a natural call. We pulled over at an Alfamart. While my friend went to the restroom, I bought a drink because I felt parched, much like the road we traversed. Once we finished our business at the store, we continued our journey.

After another half an hour, we stopped at a fruit garden in the Pelantaran area. My friend wanted to buy fruits from the garden to take home. After choosing the fruits, we continued our journey.

An hour and a half later, it was already noon, and we were almost there. An hour later, we arrived in our village, and my friend dropped me off at my house since our houses were in the same direction, making it convenient and saving time for both of us.

Upon arrival, I was welcomed by my mother at the door. After entering the house, my mother offered me food because I had previously requested her to prepare my favorite dish before I returned. However, I was too exhausted, so I decided to sleep first and have my meal later. That's the story of my journey back home.
