The first war between Palestine and Israel

The first war between Palestine and Israel occurred shortly after the Declaration of the State of Israel on May 14, 1948. The declaration was followed by a series of armed conflicts between Israeli forces and Arab states, including Palestine, who opposed the establishment of Israel in the claimed territory.

On May 15, 1948, Arab countries, including Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and Iraq, launched a joint attack against Israel. This attack was part of their efforts to prevent the formation of the State of Israel and stop Jewish migration to the region. The attack included a military invasion into the Palestinian territories that were part of the British Mandate at that time.

During the battles, Israeli forces engaged in fierce fighting against Arab armies. Despite the numerical advantage of the Arab forces, the Israelis had better coordination and high motivation to defend their newly established country. Battles took place in various areas, including major cities such as Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa.

Ultimately, after several months of intense fighting, a ceasefire was announced in 1949. This ceasefire delineated Israel's borders at that time, known as the "Green Line" or the 1949 Armistice Lines. As a result, Palestinian territories were divided, with areas controlled by Israel (including what later became Israel and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem), the Gaza Strip controlled by Egypt, and areas controlled by Jordan (known as the West Bank) with the border along the Jordan River.

The first Palestine-Israel war created a protracted conflict between the two parties, marking a new chapter in the history of the Israel-Palestine conflict. Although the ceasefire agreements temporarily reduced direct military confrontations, they failed to address the underlying political, social, and cultural issues fueling the conflict. Since then, the conflict between Israel and Palestine has continued with a series of wars and armed conflicts, as well as peace efforts that have yet to yield substantial results to this day.

The Battle of Badr

The Battle of Badr is a significant event in Islamic history that occurred in the year 624 CE. It involved the Muslim forces led by Prophet Muhammad and the Quraish forces from Mecca. The story of the Battle of Badr is crucial because it marked the first battle between the Muslim community and its enemies after the Hijrah (the migration of Prophet Muhammad and his companions from Mecca to Medina).

At that time, the Muslim army was relatively small, comprising around 313 people, facing a larger and more trained Quraish army. Despite their small numbers, the Muslim soldiers possessed strong spiritual strength and unwavering faith in Allah SWT.

Before the battle commenced, Prophet Muhammad led a prayer to Allah, seeking help and victory for the believers. During the battle, the Muslim forces successfully held their ground and defeated the Quraish army. Several Quraish leaders, including Abu Jahl, a prominent opponent of Islam at that time, were killed in the battle.

The Battle of Badr showcased the power of faith and determination among the Muslims. This victory was seen as a direct help and protection from Allah SWT, reinforcing the faith of the Muslim community and inspiring them to continue their struggle in spreading the message of Islam.

The Battle of Badr also had a significant impact on Islamic history. This victory strengthened Prophet Muhammad's position as a leader and helped solidify the presence of Islam in Medina. Additionally, it triggered a change in attitudes and perceptions towards Islam among the Arab tribes in the surrounding areas, leading them to consider the option of embracing this new faith.

Thus, the Battle of Badr stands as a pivotal moment in early Islamic history, demonstrating the strength of faith, resilience, and divine assistance from Allah SWT to His people.

My Favorite Fruits

My favorite fruits are lychee and longan. Both of these fruits have a sweet and refreshing taste, making them a perfect choice to enjoy in hot weather. Lychee, with its tender flesh and easily separable seeds, provides a unique sensation of pleasure every time I bite into it. Its distinctive sweetness makes it a highly appetizing snack. Moreover, lychee is rich in nutrients, especially vitamin C, which is beneficial for the body's health and immune system.

Longan, on the other hand, has a chewy fruit texture and thin skin. When I eat longan, I experience a burst of fresh sweetness in my mouth, making it hard to stop chewing. Besides its delicious taste, longan is known for its high fiber content, which is good for digestion. This fruit also contains iron and antioxidants, making it a healthy and beneficial choice for the body.

When the fruit season arrives, I always look forward to the moments when lychee and longan start appearing in the market. I enjoy buying these fruits fresh and devouring them in an instant. Their sweet, fresh, and chewy taste makes the fruit-eating experience extremely enjoyable. I believe that the beauty of lychee and longan lies not only in their delicious taste but also in the joy and satisfaction they bring every time I indulge in them. These fruits not only provide me with physical happiness but also remind me of the beauty of nature and the blessings we have in this world.

My Favorite Drinks

My favorite drink is cold water. Its coolness and pure taste make it my top choice when I'm thirsty or after physical activities. Water not only quenches my thirst but also provides a soothing sensation as it flows down my throat. Its neutral taste makes it suitable to pair with various dishes, and its ability to cleanse the body from toxins is unmatched. Every sip brings freshness and essential hydration to my body.

Besides water, I also have a special fondness for avocado juice. The smoothness of the avocado fruit turned into juice creates a drink with a rich texture and creamy taste. The healthy fats in avocados give a delightful thickness to the juice, creating a gentle sensation on my palate. I enjoy this avocado juice as a healthy snack, especially when I need an extra boost of energy. Its delightful taste and nutritional richness make it a smart and satisfying choice.

Furthermore, when summer arrives, nothing is more refreshing than a glass of cold watermelon juice. The sweetness and juiciness of watermelon create a drink that truly quenches my thirst and refreshes my throat. Watermelon juice is not only tasty but also rich in vitamins and antioxidants. Its natural and fresh taste makes me feel alive every time I sip it. I love enjoying watermelon juice while sitting and relaxing under the bright sun, making those moments of relaxation even more special.

Sometimes, to create a unique drinking experience, I like to mix avocado and watermelon juice. The combination of the creaminess of avocado and the freshness of watermelon creates an extraordinary harmony of flavors. It's not just a drink; it's a simple culinary masterpiece that tantalizes the taste buds. This combination adds color to my days and invites me to savor the pleasure in every sip. With these various favorite drink options, I feel fortunate to enjoy the abundance of nature's delights.

Today's Story

Today, I will share my activities for the day. Unlike usual, I woke up very early today for the pre-dawn meal (sahur) of the Monday voluntary fast. My alarm blared at three in the morning, jolting me awake. After turning off the alarm, I groggily reached for my phone to regain full consciousness. Once I felt awake, I headed to the bathroom to wash my face, brush my teeth, and relieve myself.

After a few minutes of meditation in the bathroom, I heated up rice and some dishes for my pre-dawn meal. Around twenty minutes past three, I started eating while scrolling through my phone. Eating without watching something felt odd, especially when dining alone. After finishing my meal, the sound of people reciting the Quran echoed from the mosque, followed shortly by the loud call to prayer (azan).

After sahur, I returned to the bathroom, left the dirty dishes in the washing area, performed ablution (wudhu), and prayed the morning prayer (subuh). Following that, I tidied up my bed, washed the dishes, and took a shower.

Once I finished showering, I picked up my phone again and played games for a few minutes. When the clock struck eight in the morning, I began preparing for my classes. I played music on the YouTube app while getting ready. It didn’t take long because I only followed my daily skincare routine and applied some powder and mascara. Afterward, I messaged my friend to let them know I was ready to leave.

I walked to the class with my friend. When we arrived, there were already a few people there; class was about to begin in two minutes. However, our professor informed us that the lecture would be conducted on Zoom. Some students chose to go back to their dorms or homes since there would be no in-person class. Nevertheless, I stayed on campus, waiting for my friend who was on their way to class, planning to invite them to our dorm while waiting for the next lecture.

After the last class, my friend and I decided to find something to break our fast. We agreed to buy some juice. While waiting for our order, we chatted, and I thought about suggesting a bike ride while waiting for iftar. My friend agreed. Once our order was ready, we headed to my dorm to drop off our bags, making the bike ride easier.

We walked to the bike rental place while recording a video for a YouTube vlog assignment. We chose bikes with front baskets to resemble the bikes from Chinese dramas. We captured every moment, taking turns recording for our video assignment. After finishing, we decided to break our fast at a Padang rice restaurant. After that, my friend went home as it was getting late.

TUDAY'S STORY

Today, I want to share about my daily routine during this weekend. This weekend, I decided to stay indoors the entire time and didn't go out at all.

It started in the early hours, around 4 AM, when I woke up and prepared myself for the Fajr prayer. I washed my face, brushed my teeth, and then performed ablution. After completing ablution, I quickly grabbed my prayer dress and prayer mat.

After the prayer, I went back to bed for a while, checking my phone for any important updates. However, there were none. My regular data package had expired, so I could only play an offline game called Zombie Tsunami on my phone.

The previous night, I had asked my sister to recharge my data package, but she lives in an area with poor signal, so she couldn't send me the package right away. This morning, my sister finally bought the data package for me. I thanked her and immediately opened the TikTok app.

Upon opening the app, I was greeted with viral videos about the Israeli occupation of the holy land, Palestine. As I scrolled through the posts, I came across various conspiracy theories from both Indonesian and international sources.

As a Muslim, I felt deeply concerned and saddened by the plight of our brothers and sisters in Palestine. The Israeli forces, without any humanity, have caused harm to innocent children in Palestine, some of whom have tragically lost their lives. My heart ached seeing posts on TikTok showing Palestinian children smiling amidst all the atrocities committed by heartless people like the Israelis.

While browsing TikTok, tears welled up in my eyes as I witnessed the destruction of this sacred land, where the prophets, including Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him), were born. The brave Muslim men and women in Palestine are defending our first Qibla, Masjid al-Aqsa, with their lives. I constantly prayed and hoped for ease, sincerity, and strength for our Palestinian brothers and sisters in facing the challenges. May Palestine be liberated soon as promised by Allah SWT. Amiin.

After shedding tears of sorrow, I started feeling drowsy due to my emotional state. Today, even the weather seemed to sympathize with me, as raindrops fell from the sky, resembling Allah's mercy.

After a few minutes, I fell into a deep sleep until 1 PM. I was quite surprised because I had slept for four hours straight, even missing the call to Dhuhr prayer. Perhaps it was due to the heavy rain or my deep slumber.

Upon waking up, I hurried to perform the Dhuhr prayer. Afterward, I lay back on my bed, playing with my phone and attempting to open Mobile Legends. However, the network was extremely poor, so I decided to listen to a famous YouTuber, Nadia Omara, telling her horror stories while having my lunch.

I listened to her stories until the Asr prayer call echoed, and I got ready for my prayer. That's all for my story today. I hope whoever reads this story is always blessed with good health and abundant sustenance from Allah SWT. Amiin.

Today's story

Today is Friday, but what I want to talk about is not the day itself but what I did today. We received a notice from the university rector to wear Islamic attire in anticipation of the upcoming National Santri Day on October 22nd. So, all the students at IAIN Palangka Raya were required to wear Islamic clothing as the dress code for lectures today.

When I entered the classroom, I saw my friends wearing very neat Islamic attire. I smiled because this was a rare moment that happened in our class. Even around the campus, everyone was wearing Islamic clothing; women wore hijabs and men wore traditional Islamic shirts (baju koko) paired with sarongs.

Today, we had two lectures. After the classes, we exited the classroom and went down the stairs. We gathered in the campus courtyard and took a group photo to capture this rare moment. After that, we went back to our respective homes. And that concludes my story for today.

Today's Story

This time, I will tell you about my holiday on a busy week of lectures. On this day, Thursday, our entire class B doesn't have any classes. So, every Thursday is a day to complete the assignments given by the professors, like creating this blog; it's one of the daily tasks assigned to us.

On Thursdays, besides working on the assignments, it's also a day for cleaning my room and wardrobe in the dorm. Additionally, it's laundry day for me. I always look forward to Thursdays and Saturdays because those are the days I can relax.

However, this Thursday was exceptionally busy due to the piled-up assignments, one of which was due this evening. One of our professors asked us to create questions about a specific unit or chapter of the material that we covered. Once the questions were made, they had to be input into a Google Form and supplemented with audio and answer choices. After completing it, the link to the questions was sent to the committee or class representative.

Creating the questions was quite complicated because I had to record the audio and edit it myself. This task took approximately 4 hours, including the audio editing, which was exhausting and even led to back pain and a headache.

That's all for my story today. Thank you.

My Favoriet Food

My favorite spicy and soupy dish is Spicy Meatball Soup, known as "Bakso Kuah Pedas" in Indonesian cuisine. Bakso, or meatballs, is an immensely popular dish in Indonesia, especially among culinary enthusiasts. Spicy Meatball Soup is a variant of meatball soup served with a spicy broth, enhancing the dining experience with its vibrant flavors.

Spicy Meatball Soup consists of meatball spheres made from a mixture of finely ground beef, resulting in a delicious and chewy texture. Typically, this dish is served with noodles, bean sprouts, chopped green onions, and sometimes garnished with boiled eggs. What makes it special is the delightful spicy broth and unique blend of spices, creating an explosion of flavors on the taste buds.

The process of enjoying Spicy Meatball Soup begins by dipping the meatballs, noodles, and bean sprouts into the hot and flavorful broth. Each bite is filled with a combination of spiciness, richness, and warmth, creating a sensation that indulges the palate and comforts the stomach. Its robust and deep flavor profile makes it perfect for those who enjoy spicy cuisine.

Usually, Spicy Meatball Soup is served with additional condiments like chili paste or bird's eye chili peppers for those seeking an even higher level of spiciness. For me, relishing Spicy Meatball Soup is a complete culinary experience, satisfying the craving for spicy flavors and the comfort of a soupy dish.

TODAY'S SRORY

Today is Sunday, yes, of course. However, this Sunday is different from the previous ones because my friends and I went on a picnic, sort of. Actually, this picnic plan was made last month, but it got postponed because there was a roadblock last month. Thankfully, today our plan came true with the permission of Allah SWT.

Initially, we wanted to have a picnic at the Palangkaraya golf course near MAN Palangkaraya school, but the field was being used and we weren't allowed to enter. Eventually, we decided to have our picnic behind the golf course instead.

When we arrived at the location around 10 in the morning, we started preparing a place to sit. There were quite a few trees around, which provided good shade, but unfortunately, there were a lot of ants that kept biting us.

After setting up our seating area, we unpacked the food we had brought individually. We combined all our food and added chili sauce, chili powder, bibimbab sauce, soy sauce, vegetables, and seaweed. Yes, we made bibimbab, a dish originating from South Korea.

After eating, we took photos, videos, and made TikToks. After finishing with photos and videos, we decided to go home because the weather was getting hotter and we couldn't bear the heat. We decided to continue the fun by going karaoke.

We went to D'lavan in Palangkaraya for karaoke because it's very affordable there and they open early. When we arrived at the karaoke place, we immediately booked our room. Then, we were asked to wait on the second floor to be shown our room.

We entered the room and started looking for songs we wanted to sing. We booked the room for 2 hours. We sang and had fun until our voices became hoarse. After 2 hours passed, we hurried home because it was almost 3:15 PM.

That's it for the story. Thank you for your time, friends. Hopefully, we can go out again later.

TODAY'S STORY

Today, I had an afternoon class around 3 PM, which was a scouting class. This week, it was our group's turn to present the paper we had prepared. The weather was cloudy and thunderous, and it had rained a bit, but the class still took place in the afternoon. Before leaving, I performed the Asr prayer and then got ready to go.

When I arrived at the IAIN Palangkaraya scout hall, there were only a few people present because it had rained in their areas. We didn't conduct the usual ceremony because there were many motorcycles parked in the usual area where we held the opening and closing ceremonies.

After a considerable number of students arrived, we were allowed to proceed with our presentation. In this scouting class, students from different majors, including physics, were combined because this course was considered a general one. Our group read and explained the material we had prepared for our paper.

After the presentation, as usual, there was a question-and-answer session. After we finished, the class was taken over by the lecturer. Since we had been attentive during the presentation, we were allowed to engage in some games before the class ended. After the games, we headed home.

That's the end of this quite boring story. Bye!

Today's Story

Today, I want to share a very funny incident that also involves myths or many perceptions about its truth. On Tuesday, the 10th, just like any other day, I had to go to campus because I had three classes scheduled. As usual, I woke up at 5 in the morning, performed the dawn prayer, took a shower, and got ready for my classes. When I was about to leave, I was in such a hurry that I forgot to bring my house key.

Upon arriving in class, the lessons began as usual, and I still hadn't realized that I had left my house key behind. After the first class, I proceeded to the next lecture. Before that, there was some time to have a meal. While eating, I absentmindedly played with my friend's motorcycle key before the food arrived.

After finishing my meal, my friends and I returned to class to continue our studies. The lectures proceeded peacefully, and when someone informed us that the room we were using was needed by others, I explained that this second class was a relocated schedule, so we had to find an empty classroom for the lecture. We decided to have the lecture outdoors in the schoolyard. When the clock struck eleven, the lecture ended. My friend and I decided to head back home.

Before going back to my dorm, my friend and I decided to stop for a moment to buy rice for me and some drinks. When I got back to my room, I searched for my house key, but I couldn't find it. It was then that I realized I had left it inside my room. I contacted my roommate and asked him to open our room with his key. I started searching for my key inside our room, but I couldn't find it. I assumed that my house key was lost or left somewhere.

I felt strangely calm, as if nothing was missing, but in reality, I still hadn't found my key. My friend and I decided to search for it on the streets and places we had visited. However, I didn't find it until the third class began. The lecture started, but my mind was still on my key. However, my heart kept telling me to stay calm; the key must be in my room and not lost.

After the class ended, we went back to our rooms. I had resigned myself to the fact that I might never find my key, and it could be duplicated from my friend's key. When I reached my room and placed my bag on the table, I wanted to clean my face using a cotton pad. To my surprise, I heard a sound like a key inside the plastic bag containing the cotton pads. I was right; my key was inside that plastic bag.

I had held that plastic bag when I came back after my second class, but I didn't feel the presence of the key. It was a strange incident, and I have encountered such things quite frequently. Perhaps it's not just me, but also some of you reading this. According to my friend, it might have been borrowed by a supernatural being or by someone invisible, someone we can't see with our eyes but can feel their presence.

Alright, that's my story for today. I hope it entertained you.

Walking ToThe Balanga Palangka Raya

This time I will tell you about a trip to the Balanga Museum in Palangka Raya. Last week, during the second hour of our Islamic civilization history class, our whole class was asked to visit the museum to learn about the history of the indigenous Dayak tribe in the past. Before leaving, one of us, as a representative, collected money for the museum entrance fee and the tour guide's fee when we arrived at the museum later. After collecting the money, we set off.

Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the lecturer who taught the course. Before entering the museum, we took some photos for memories. After that, we entered and started registering and finding a tour guide who would lead us around the museum later.

We started exploring the museum, and the tour guide began explaining the significance of the items in the museum, such as the origins of Palangkaraya city, cultural traditions in ancient times, cultural and religious civilizations, war artifacts like spears, cannons, machetes, and more. There were two museum buildings there. In the first building, there were cultural and religious artifacts. This first building had two floors. In the second building, there was only one floor containing history about governors and heroes from the past. The exhibits included battle attire, wedding attire of the heroes, and there was also an album of meetings during wartime.

Besides weapons and battle attire, in the second building, there were also preserved animals turned into unique but somewhat creepy statues, in my opinion.

After finishing the museum visit, we went back because our class time had ended. Okay, that's all for the story. See you again.

Deep Talk With ustadz Hutri, Agam Fahrul and Tatas Bagus.T

On this occasion, I will tell you about my Saturday night with my classmate named Ratu. We attended a deep talk event with ustad (Islamic scholar) Hutri, Agam, and Tatas Bagus. At the event, Ratu and I had planned to wear the same color outfit, which was black. At half past seven in the evening, Ratu and I set off. During the journey, we chatted happily since it was the first time we went out together at night. It was a rare moment.

Upon reaching the vicinity of the event venue, before entering the building, we stopped briefly to refuel. During the journey, we exchanged stories, considering this was our first time going out at night as friends. It was indeed a rare moment.

Once we arrived at the event venue, we first bought food and drinks so we wouldn't feel hungry inside. We purchased bubble tea for thirteen thousand and grilled sausages for ten thousand.

After finishing our shopping, Ratu and I went inside the event venue to find seats, but the seats were already full, and we were unsure where to sit.

Not long after, a committee member approached us and guided us to empty seats in the middle. We felt fortunate to have arrived somewhat late but still found seats near the front.

The opening of the event included listening to melancholic songs performed by a band whose name I didn't know. Additionally, there were other captivating performances.

After a while, the scholars started to arrive and went on stage. The room buzzed with excitement as Ustad Agam is a well-known TikToker and influencer, as is Ustad Tatas Bagus.

Before the scholars came, the audience was given a sheet of paper to write down our grievances that we wanted to convey to the scholars later.

The event was very engaging, and we gained a lot of knowledge, ranging from issues related to marriage to matters of faith. The event concluded around ten in the evening. Before leaving, we offered prayers led by Ustad Hutri.

Once the event ended, Ratu and I headed straight home. And that's how the story goes.

Recommend 2 Anime that must be watched!!!

For anime enthusiasts, often referred to as "wibu" or anime lovers, watching these recommended anime series is a must, in my opinion. I will list them from 1 to 2, with the first being the best and the second being eagerly awaited for its second season.

1. ONE PIECE

First and foremost, there's "One Piece." Securing the top spot as the best manga series in Japan, which has been adapted into this anime, it's truly worth watching. From my research on various websites, I found that "One Piece" is a manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It tells the tale of a young boy named Monkey D. Luffy, who dreams of becoming a pirate king. Luffy, in this story, gains the ability to stretch his body like rubber after accidentally eating a Devil Fruit brought by the pirate Shanks. The anime has a total of 1077 episodes. In my opinion, this anime is outstanding because of its compelling storyline, the valuable lessons it imparts, and how it broadens our minds. Each adventure is filled with various villains who exploit their own country, and the anime vividly portrays the corruption within nations. For example, issues like human trafficking and discrimination based on caste and ethnicity are depicted.

2. BLACK CLOVER

In the second position, there's "Black Clover." Adapted from the manga by Yuki Tabata, "Black Clover" narrates the story of a boy born without magic, a phenomenon in his world where everyone possesses magical powers in the Clover Kingdom. The higher one's social status, the greater their magical abilities. The boy without magic from birth is named Asta. Despite lacking magic, Asta is resilient and never loses hope. He lives in a small church alongside his rival, Yuno, who shares his dream of becoming a Wizard King. In the outskirts of their village called Hage, at the age of 15, they receive their grimoires and head to the capital to become Magic Knights. Asta and Yuno become Magic Knights in different squads. Asta joins the Black Bulls, led by Yami, who possesses the power of the Black Divider, a dimension-slashing sword. This anime is not only exciting but also teaches us that orphans and the poor have the right to dream big. Moreover, we can learn from Asta not to lose hope easily. The anime is incredibly thrilling; however, it does not have a continuation, ending at episode 170.
